System on a Chip (SoC)

System on a chip or system on chip (SoC or SOC) is an integrated circuit (IC) that integrates all components of a computer or other electronic system into a single chip. It may contain digital, analog, mixed-signal, and often radio-frequency functions¡ªall on a single chip substrates.

SoCs are very common in our life. For example, mobile phone, laptop, iWatch, DVD and IPTV etc., they all hide SoCs in them.

The basic idea of introducing SoC into electric devices is to integrate more components into the same piece of silicon to reduce size and cost while enhancing performance.

This part introduces the the concept of SoC,its architecture, vendors and popular MCU SoC,SoC FPGA, etc.

Management and Utilization of the Mini-libarry of Vectoral Chinese Characters(in Chinese)

In the program of an embedded system, some chinese characters are used. It consumes much resource if a full Chinese character libary is employed. In this thesis, a method to substract the vectors of the Chinese characters that are actually used in application from the full libray is introduced. By this method, the occupied resource to display the Chinese characters is reduced.

EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON THE SELF-EXCITED VIBRATION IN VEHICLE POWERTRAIN

Self-excited vibration in vehicle powertrain is often related to the stability of the powertrain. In this thesis, to find the stable criterion, the mechanics model of vehicle powertrain is established and then analyzed by KBM method. From the analysis, it is shown that vehicle powertrain can become unstable at high slip and induces self-excited vibration in the powertain. Stable criterion of vehicle powertrain is also given. Parameters influencing powertrain stability are found, and they are : axle shaft damping, slope of the curve of the adhesive coefficient and the slip, weight of the vehicle, moment of the engine and the transmission, etc. . As a conclusion, the larger the axle shaft damping is , the lesser the tendency of the unstability of vehicle powertain is.

Analog Electrics and Circuit

Electric circuits interconnect electric elements (or electric devices) to accomplish the targeted task according to the application.

In this section, circuit element of analog devices, circuit analysis methods and analysis theorem, phasor ,and transfer function are discussed. In addtion, the application of Fourier series and tranformation, Laplace tranformation in circuit analysis are also depicted.

AC Circuit Analysis Techniques

In this section, an example problem will be solved with different techniques including Simetrix Simulation, Nodal Analysis, Mesh Analysis, Superposition Theorem, Thevenin's Theorem and Notron's Theorem.

Frequency Response of a Sinusoidal Circuit

In sinusodial circuit analysis,

- If source frequency remains constant, phasor method is employed to find the ciruit's gain and phase behavior;

- If source amplitude remains constant, frequency response is employed to find the circuit's dynamic behavior as a function of frequency.

The frequency response of a circuit is the variation in its behavior wiht change in signal frequency.

Two methods are employed to describe the circuit's frequency response.

1) Transfer function

2) Bode plot
